Phi Omega verbal announcement
I want to thank Pastor____(name)_____for allowing me to read a statement about
an exciting new co-ed service fraternity for our high school aged youth group. I
would like to introduce Phi Omega. Phi Omega is a new co-ed service fraternity
for high school students. The primary mission is for student members to gather
weekly on campus to pray for their peers, teachers & community. Like social &
service fraternities found on most college campuses, Phi-O will bring together
students with a common goal. Formed as a national organization, students from
Connecticut to California will be lifting up their schools in student led
prayer. This opportunity is long overdue for our high school students.
As a Phi Omega advocate volunteer, my role is to help __(church name)_ youth
group members to join and participate as Phi Omega members. For those who are
interested, visit the website at phiomega.net I urge you to surf the website to
learn more and if you want to start or join a chapter, you will see the links on
the Phi Omega homepage. For the rest of us, if you want to lend your support,
Phi Omega is looking for Christian partners who support prayer in school to step
up and partner with them by making a dollar-a-month or twelve dollar per year
one time commitment. Of course you can give less or more depending on your own
comfort level. You can do that by visiting their website and clicking on the
donate link. My prayer is that we, as a body of believers, can step up and
support our youth and this new organization to make a positive difference in our
high schools.
